Adorable 40's dress in black, white and red check with openweave in the red areas. Square ruffled neckline trimmed with delicate white lace. 4 red square buttons in front for bodice closure topped with a bow. Metal side zipper. About a 1/2 inch repaired area at the back just below the hips (pictured). Fabric feels like cotton. Most likely hand sewn by a very skilled seamstress. Amazing condition, especially for a dress this age.
